How the figures are calculated

Elevators: Step-free stations near the address, with each elevator’s availability by month and the outages happening now. Source: MTA Subway Elevator and Escalator Availability.
Entrances: Subway entrances within 820 ft (250 m), and how many of them are elevators. Source: MTA Subway Entrances and Exits.
Live trains: The next trains at the nearest stations, from the MTA real-time feeds.
Buses: Bus stops within 820 ft (250 m) and their routes. Source: MTA Bus GTFS.
Restrooms: Public restrooms within 820 ft (250 m), with hours, season and changing stations. Source: Public Restrooms.

How to read it

An elevator entrance alone does not establish a complete step-free route. Check direction, platform access and current MTA service information.
Outages are reported by the MTA. An elevator can fail after the feed was last read, so check before you go.
Monthly availability is a record of the past. It says how often an elevator worked, not whether it works now.
