    Measurements are for the garment laid flat, not the body. A chest width, measured 1 inch (2.5 cm) below the armhole. double it for the circumference. B shoulder to hem. C shoulder seam to sleeve opening. Supplier measurements; each piece may vary by up to 2″ (5 cm).

    100% ring-spun cotton. Fabric weight: 6.1 oz/yd² (207 g/m²). Garment-dyed for a soft, washed-in feel, with a double-needle collar and hems and twill tape at the neck and shoulders.

    Garment dyeing creates subtle variations in shade between batches. Your garment may look slightly different from the images.

    Wash inside out in cold water. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not bleach or iron the print. Follow the garment care label.

    The print

    An engraving of the object with its name in brush lettering, short handwritten notes around it and a numbered stamp for your initials. Printed in charcoal and rust as a halftone that lets the shirt show through, so the print stays soft.

    The print is about 8 × 12″ (21 × 31 cm), centered on the chest, and on the back if you choose it, at the same price. Colors and placement may vary slightly from the preview.

    We ship to the United States, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. Shipping is $6, free from $95, and the delivery estimate is shown before payment. Price includes VAT. No additional taxes or duties within the EU. Import duties and taxes, if any, are payable by you on delivery.

    The story

    A shopkeeper’s helper. A neighborhood regular.

    In a New York bodega, a small neighborhood grocery, the cat may be on the counter, on a shelf or on a case of beer. Shopkeepers keep cats to deter rodents and to draw customers, who often come to know them as part of the shop.

    The word bodega is Spanish, and New York’s bodega culture grew with Puerto Rican migration after World War II. Among the groceries and daily conversations, the cat is a working animal with its own spot in the shop.
